If more than one override becomes available at the same time, the one with the most world states on it. Armoury Ruin: Armoury Ruins are lesser versions of the Lost Armoury they have already been broken into and looted unlike the Lost Armoury. This is different than when a location falls into ruins due to a Town Override. Many places are able to become DEAD when all or enough inhabitants have been killed. Town Overrides are a result of a World State change. Kenshi has many non-player locations, of sizes ranging from a single building to large cities. Town Overrides are new locations which spawn to replace other locations. Kenshi has many zones with natural, earthy designs which are at odds with more outlandish areas like Leviathan Coast, Gut, and Venge. This area is also where the HQ of Swamp Ninjas can be found as well as their patrols, often times in skirmish with their rival Red Sabres. The Kenshi world map is vast and multi-colored. The most notable aspect of this zone is the slave market located on the eastern side. If the Phoenix is killed, a Holy Military Base may also become a Deadhive Overrun. The South Wetlands is a swampy area easily recognized by the large lake in the middle. These locations are controlled by minor factions and are affected by specific World States.Ī Deadhive Overrun will spawn to replace these Hiver locations if the initial owning faction's queen is killed or kidnapped. These locations are primarily tied to the states of the gang leaders in The Swamp. Usually this different faction is the Southern Hive. After the leader of one faction is taken out, their bases can become overtaken by a different faction. In this area there are four opposing factions: Crab Raiders, Reavers, Skeleton Bandits, and Skin Bandits. These locations in the southeast are primarily affected by the state of their faction's leader. After Esata the Stone Golem is killed, control of the Shek Kingdom is taken by Mukai The Mountain. These locations belong to the Shek Kingdom initially. Depending on what World States have been reached, they may become ruins or be overtaken by a faction which opposes The Holy Nation. These locations belong to The Holy Nation initially. None of these locations are affected by Emperor Tengu's state. The Major locations in The Hook are affected by the state of multiple Nobles. Locations in the Southwest are all interconnected, except for Catun. These locations falls to ruins if the override happens, locked behind the gates. They are not affected by the state of any character other than their resident Noble. These locations in the northeast are controlled by the Slave Traders and each contain a specific Noble. They are also affected by the states of Nobles. These United Cities locations affected by whether Emperor Tengu is alive, dead, or imprisoned. Seasons may cause harmful Weather Effects or be purely aesthetic.These locations are controlled by the Empire, specifically the United Cities, Slave Traders, and Traders Guild. A savage and cannibalistic strain of Hivers called Fogmen rule the land. Scraps of massive metal of a forgotten civilization litter the terrain, adding to the mystery of the lands. This zone has the 'Ashland Basic' season. The Fog Islands are a collection of valleys where a perpetual low fog looms over the ground. These are the modifiers which are linked to this zone on FCS.īefore building an outpost, players should find information about specific areas through Prospecting. Skeleton Legion - (Gets replaced by larger squads when Mad Cat-Lon is killed/imprisoned).Iron Spider - (if Mad Cat-Lon is alive and free).These are squads which spawn without being tied to a location, camp, or nest. These locations show up on the map, although the player cannot interact with anything at this location. Beware: sometimes these locations contain territorial protectors such as Security Spiders. Ancient Locations are usually lost outposts or ruins. These are places which do not have competent inhabitants. These locations are typically small towns, villages, or faction bases. There are no Major Towns in the Ashlands.
